Review: Dawn Power Clean

   
   No matter how many times or ways football is explained to me I still don't get it. Our good friend played for Oklahoma University (aka 'the Sooners') and even tried to explain it to me...no luck there either. Oh well.


Now even though I don't understand football doesn't mean I can't enjoy the Superbowl with my family and friends....I mean there is still great conversations and yummy food to enjoy...right?! 


The one thing I don't enjoy is cleaning up all of that yummy food. I tell my husband that one of the chores that I LOATHE is doing the dishes. I hate scrubbing and scrubbing until my hands are raw. Yes, we have a dishwasher but I still have to get all that caked on grease and grime off before I can even THINK of putting them in the dishwasher. Plus I have been trying to wash more by hand since it saves on water.

Well when I found out that Dawn recently launched Dawn Power Clean, a line of dishwashing liquid that Dawn claims has the power of an overnight soak in just five minutes I definitely wanted to see if they could help me clean up my dirty dishes.


Procter and Gamble was kind enough to let me review three of Dawn's new Power Clean products. I was sent Dawn Power Clean(Refreshing Rain), Dawn Bleach Alternative (Fresh Rapids) and Dawn OXI (Citrus Zest) to review.  


 Here is a break down of each of the products;

• Dawn Power Clean Dishwashing Liquid – DAWN’S BEST CLEAN with micro-scrubbing enzymes that power through food messes with ease, from everyday grease to tough lasagna dishes!
• Dawn Bleach Alternative Dishwashing Liquid – A complete clean that’s gentle on your hands as this powerful formula penetrates food messes and rinses away safely for a quick and easy clean.
• Dawn OXI Dishwashing Liquid – Features active oxides that release micro-bubbles to target and dissolve the toughest food messes for a total clean.

       I have been using Dawn products for as long as I can remember-I have definitely always liked their products but now I can officially say I LOVE their products. These products are like having a mini-dishwasher in a bottle plus they leave my hands feeling moisturized and not dry and brittle. All three products have lovely fragrances and work up a lovely lathering of bubbles. I used Dawn Power Clean on the slow cooker I had used to prepare dinner. I used Dawn Bleach Alternative on our plates and Dawn OXI on our glasses and silverware. What I really love about all of the products is that a little bit goes a long way since they are very concentrated. For the really REALLY dirty dishes I fill one side of my sink with hot water and the dirty dishes and then add a little bit of Dawn's Dishwashing liquid and let the dishes sit for about five minutes while I tackle the other dishes. When I return to the dishes that have been soaking in the sick the caked on food basically comes right off-thanks to Dawn's new Power Clean products! I do have to say that my favorite out of the three was definitely Dawns Power Clean-it just seemed to get my dishes clean the fastest. These products have saved me time and frustration so I can get back to more important things like watching football the half time show!
