Giveaway: TREAT cards

My first Valentine's Day away from home I'd only been in college for six weeks.  My mother sent a care package for my dorm room complete with Victorian-style handmade Valentines with paper doilies and construction paper.  Upon each card was a personalized, rhyming poem she wrote for each roommate based on the information she had compiled from my weekly emails home. My mother is creative and clever and rather vivacious but I am the oldest of a very large family and it surprised me that she had found the time to do all this and get it mailed to arrive in time.  She didn't spend more than postage on the package, as I recall, but it was very touching and meaningful to me.

The thing is, you don't have to spend a lot of money to make a meaningful Valentine's Day.  A heartfelt card is often all you need.  No, not an e-card, a real card, remember those?  Treat.com is a real treat and exactly what you're looking for!  These cards are clever and creative and allow for personalisation, you can add photos or your own text.  (Mind you, you don't have to, if the burden of coming up with just the right words is too great you can always use the message library.) These cards are so much better than what you can get at the drugstore, and a bargain, too, with many cards at only $1.99.  Need to send a gift?  Treat can even add a gift card.  Done and done. Not good at remembering to send cards in time?  You can schedule delivery of your card up to a year in advance.  How's that for getting more organized?  Treat's got you covered.

These days we get a quick note on our facebook walls or a text or a tweet. Wasn't last month so lovely with all the cards that actually came in the mail?  You don't have to wait for the end of the year, you can send a thoughtful and heart-felt message now and add new life to your relationships.  Reach out, friends, and rediscover the beauty of a card in the mail.

If you aren't feeling the love this year, don't worry!  They've got UNValentine's cards too!  Like this one:

As a freshman in college a friend of mine from high school sent me a Valentine's card. We weren't super close, so knowing that she was thinking of me and put forth the effort to send me a card meant the world to me. I still have that card.

A thank you card from a dear friend that moved far far away. It made me cry, because I missed her, but made me feel so special that she remembered me. Made more special because she sent me a book that she knew i would love.

My Godmother used to send me cards all of the time before she passed away. I used to love getting them in the mail....she would cover them with stickers for me (normally of kittens and butterflies)...even when I was an adult !! It always put a big smile on my face :)
