Every song in this collection feels like fun to young children but each one is carefully designed to educate, engage, move, and challenge the children. Using themes familiar to early education (farm animals, counting, and even more sophisticated subjects like pronouns) the children learn call and response, rhythms, and listening skills while moving.
While my chapter-book-reading 8 year old may not be the target demographic, he did sing along in the back seat. His younger brother, the 5 year old, sang the songs around the house to accompany his play.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Ella Jenkins is amazing and this CD is essential for anyone who interacts with young children. Get up and get moving with those little ones that charm you life. You'll enhance the time you spend together and create precious memories. How do you get your little ones to get up and get moving? Tell us in the comments section, then give Ella a listen for some new ideas.

My kids like to romp outside with the dog.
We have outdoor playtime.
I am encouraging them to move by spending lots of time outside and to enjoy the snow.

We're turning off the T.V. and letting them play outside! Now that they're old enough to play without Mummy they're having a ball. Also, we just started gymnastics. It's been awesome!!
I try to provide active toys and we look up fun games online to stay active
We walk every night after dinner :)
