I'm admittedly late to the game. Orangutan Van, which releases next week, is his eighth album since 2008. Where his PBS songs are geared toward the preschool set these songs expand his audience to elementary-aged kids. The songs are longer and more sophisticated, but not any less fun.
This album includes the obligatory alphabet song, one which Steve masterfully turns on its head and uses riddles and rhymes through which the children can guess the answer for each word representing the letter in "A is for Silly". It's probably my favourite song although there are so many gems here. The great rhymes and silly story crammed into the title track, "Orangutan Van" make me smile every time. "Flat Stanley" takes you on a trip around the world and "Grumpy Boy" is a cute song to help giggle the grumps out of anyone. "All in This Together" is particularly timely this month as it pays a special tribute to Martin Luther King Jr., the message a valuable and meaningful one.
Orangutan Van is classically Steve, the tone and vibe is exactly what you'd hope to find in a full-length format, and all very sing-a-long-able. I recommend spending some time on his website, too. With a music player (with songs from the previous seven albums!), videos of some of his songs, and more, it's definitely worth the stop! Pick up an album or two from the store while you're there.

Of course THE most popular Steve song in our house has been Marvelous Day. It's always fun to pull open the blinds and yank the covers off the kids while singing Marvelous Day at the top of my lungs! HAHA. (They actually like that)
Steve's first album is Morning 'Til Night.
